An attractive mosaic mural in a closed Roman Catholic church in Oldham has attracted a lot of interest. There is concern about how best to preserve it, given that the mosaic is attached to the wall and loss of the building threatens the mural (and a fresco, at present overpainted, but capable of being revealed without damage).
SAVE Britain’s Heritage is running a campaign to find a solution to the problem.
