The fight is on to save the ‘most important rock ‘n’ roll pub in Britain’

After hearing about the possible sale and demolition of the historic Apsley Cottage pub in Ardwick MCS stepped in hoping to give the venue a fighting chance.

We have applied to Manchester City Council to request that the pub is listed as an Asset of Community Value.

MCS Chairman, Steve Speakman, spoke to the Manchester Evening News and now Save Britain’s Heritage, the Georgian Society and a raft of celebrities are also calling for the pub to be saved.
